Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a stealth-action game set in an alternate future where humanity is split between ordinary people and those with mechanical augmentations.
Intel Macs with 3.0GHz i5 and 2GB AMD Radeon M290 required
The Mac version needs macOS 10.13.1 or later and an Intel processor — at least a 3.0GHz Core i5 with 8GB RAM and a 2GB AMD Radeon M290 or better. Apple Silicon Macs won't run it natively, so check your specs before downloading.
Adam Jensen's Tesla arm cannon disables up to four enemies
You play Adam Jensen in Prague, where every mission can be approached openly or with stealth. The Tesla arm cannon is a handy tool, capable of disabling up to four enemies once upgraded.
Eight interface languages, seven voice languages
Interface languages include Russian, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and French. Voice acting covers the same set minus Polish.
Launch fix: run from app package's Contents/MacOS
A few things trip people up with this port. If the game won't launch after you drag it to Applications, check that you're running it from the app package itself. Open the package contents, go to Contents/MacOS, and run Deus Ex Mankind Divided directly — that often gets past permissions hiccups on newer macOS versions.
Another frequent issue: the game expects an Intel processor, so if you're on an Apple Silicon Mac it won't run at all without Rosetta. Even then, Feral only supports Intel Macs, so performance might be unpredictable. Stick to the listed hardware if you want a reliable experience.
Some players report that the Tesla arm cannon doesn't work as expected until you upgrade it. Make sure you've put points into that augmentation tree in Jensen's menu — it starts off limited and only disables multiple enemies after the upgrade.
1.1.1 added Japanese support for A Criminal Past DLC
Version 1.1 was the initial Mac release back in December 2017. The 1.1.1 update added Japanese support for the A Criminal Past DLC, which is useful if you play that expansion and want the interface in Japanese. Version 1.1.2, the current build, is a smaller patch with minor fixes and improvements — nothing flashy, but it smooths out the experience. No new content, just stability work under the hood.
For everyday use, the difference between 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 is subtle. You won't notice new features, but the game should behave itself a bit better on the supported Macs. If you're after a deus ex mankind divided for mac torrent, make sure you grab the 1.1.2 build to get those fixes included.
Common snags and how to sort them
One thing that catches people out: the game needs macOS 10.13.1 or later, but running it on anything newer than Mojave can throw a permissions error. If you see a message about not being able to open the app, head to System Settings > Privacy & Security and look for a blocked launch entry — you can allow it from there.
Another frequent headache is the audio stuttering on some Intel Macs. Lowering the in-game graphics settings, especially shadow quality and ambient occlusion, often clears it up. The game is demanding, so don't expect maxed-out sliders on a baseline i5 with 8GB RAM.
If the game crashes during loading screens, verify that you're not running it from an external drive. Copy it to the internal Applications folder instead — the port can be fussy about where it lives.
What 1.1.2 changed in daily use
Version 1.1.2 doesn't add new missions or weapons, but it fixes a handful of small glitches that annoyed players. The most noticeable change is that the hacking mini-game is less prone to freezing on certain iMac models. Crashes when switching between fullscreen and windowed mode are also rarer now.
For anyone who grabbed the 1.1.1 build, the jump to 1.1.2 is worth it for stability alone. The Japanese DLC support from the previous update stays in place, so you don't lose anything by updating. No new language options were added — just polish under the hood.
Version 1.1.2 brings minor fixes and improvements, and it's the build you'll find here.
